Ariane 6's upgraded booster flight was the week's most consequential launch

Ariane 64 Block 2 | Amazon Leo LE-03 was the clearest capability story. Arianespace reported a successful June 17 mission carrying 36 Amazon Leo satellites on Ariane 64 with four advanced P160C boosters, while ESA material described the P160C upgrade as a 10% performance gain to orbit. That makes the flight more than a constellation increment: it is evidence that Europe's new heavy launcher is moving into a higher-performance role at the same time Amazon needs sustained access to orbit.
